Description

The Junior IT Support Specialist provides advanced end-user technical support — both remotely and on-site — to ensure smooth and efficient operation of IT systems across the organisation. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, analysing systems, executing test plans, and implementing effective technical solutions. You’ll work closely with senior IT professionals in the IT Risk and Compliance team to maintain system health, ensure operational stability, and contribute to innovation within our IT infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Conduct morning system health checks and monitor performance via tools such as Dynatrace
  • Assist with solution construction, including basic programming, systems testing, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and specifications
  • Interpret and execute test plans with guidance from Analysts and Senior Programmers
  • Assist in system design analysis and provide input on application maintenance and data management
  • Support system implementations and participate in disaster recovery testing
  • Provide sizing and scoping for small development initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior or new IT staff where required

Qualifications

  • National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
